COMPARE: EB 00 20–EQUIPMENT BREAKDOWN PROTECTION COVERAGE FORM: 01 13 EDITION TO THE 09 11 EDITION

INTRODUCTION

The 01 13 edition change brings the EB forms in line with similar wording used in other ISO property products. There are a number of capitalization and punctuation changes but only two wording changes. This article reviews only the wording changes.

Wording change in multiple parts of the coverage form

The word “enforcement” previously used alone in the following parts is now combined with “complying with or compliance with” with respect to ordinance or law in the following parts of the coverage form:

• A. Coverage, 2. Coverage Provided, g. Ordinance or Law Coverage
• B. Exclusions, 1. Ordinance or Law
• C. Limit of Insurance, 6. Limited Coverage For Fungus, Wet Rot or Dry Rot, b. Business Income and Extra Expense or Extra Expense Only

Change to Earth Movement Exclusion

Tremors and aftershocks are added to the list of events that the term earthquake includes.
